School Choice in Arizona

On Tuesday, November 14, 2023, Arizona State Representatives held a House Ad Hoc Study Committee meeting on Governance and Oversight of Empowerment Scholarship Accounts.

The public heard from a variety of experts including from Alan Maguire, an economist from The Maguire Company, about a follow-up on trends in ESAs and K-12 Education. Patrick Moran of the Joint Legislative Budget Committee spoke about K-12 Finance Issues Related to Student Movement Between Systems. ESA Programs Executive Director John Ward gave updates about ESA Management and Administration.

The public was the given time to address the committee and the video contains interviews from several of the speakers who spoke at the meeting.
