Durham Constabulary Break In To Home Without Grounds

On 25 November 2023, Durham Constabulary, an English police constabularly forced access to 3 Moor Crescent armed with tasers and brandishing at least one baton - despite the occupants being asleep.

They attempted to rely on Section 17(1)(e) of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 (life and limb and serious damage to property) based on an alledged photo that had been passed on to them that was at least 6 months old (if it existed) of a lockable freezer cupboard to force access without a Magistrate's Court bench warrant. The male who forced access will now face a private prosecution for the criminal offence of Aggravated Burglary. This is what the UK Police now think that they can get away with.
