Metal Detecting - Makro Kruzer Two Short Hunts

Not a lot of luck with the detector today. I did get two hunts in, including our second try in the water. I find the kruzer Krazy (see what I did there) hot in the water. It works on beach mode only and I have to shut the gain down to around 77 for it to be usable. Anybody else using the Makro let me know if you have a secret for water use.
