Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV - 4 x 4 Test Active Stability Control OFF

The outlander PHEV has an ASC Active stability Control system that limits slippage when engaged. I did not turn this off the other day. Today we will re-test and turn off the ASC. How does the PHEV do in deep snow with it off? Due to low clearance and an electronic Yaw control system, not a whole lot better I'm afraid. I have found from doing this video and re-reading the manual that the car also has a AYC. Active Yaw control apparently does not get shut off when you disengage the ASC. As you will see I get hung up on the snow and only 1 wheel front and 1 wheel back are getting any power. My conclusion is that turning ASC off will help in many situations, but if you get hung up in snow or thick mud, the AWD system in the PHEV will limit your power to only two wheels. One front, and one back.
