An ex-soldier who was caught on CCTV attacking a terrified female shopkeeper with an AXE has been jailed for eight years.
Thug Neil Gordon, 41, stormed into the shop and jumped over the counter and demanded cash from the till.
But fearless owner Ann Sage, 68, confronted him, telling Gordon: "You don't frighten me, I'm calling the police".
