A contractor for Lee County Natural Resources will begin Monday, Nov. 27, to restore sand to about 320 feet of beach at Crescent Beach Family Park, 1100 Estero Blvd., to repair damage from Hurricane Irma. Portions of the park will be closed for safety reasons during the project, which could take up to 30 days depending on the weather. Workers with flags will be posted near the park on Estero Boulevard to minimize traffic disruptions. Funding for the project will come from money set aside for beach renourishment from Lee County’s Tourist Development Tax on lodgings. The project cost is estimated at $105,300
