Many more people than are as honest as Nathan online likely have had or are having an on-off relationship with a wife, girlfriend, husband, boyfriend etc. and have recycled around once, twice or many times. They have children. He has some hope. She wants to change and get help. Is he a narcissist? Can they both do their own work to make a trauma-bonded toxic relationship healthy? Will it work? Or will it just be more conflict, chaos, drama, and heartache?
