Today we will be inspecting the Yellow, white, and Purple hives for queens, varroa, and food stores in continuing preparation for winter. We will also be installing the control unit which operated the hive heater and cooling system into five of the hives. The heat boxes (hive heaters) will be installed in the next couple of weeks as the nighttime temperature continues to fall and winter approaches.
