One fell from the first floor into the basement, a second firefighter fell from the second floor into the basement, landing on the first firefighter. A third firefighter was injured when he was struck in the head by a joist, a beam that supports a ceiling or floor. The joist hit him so hard it knocked off his helmet and mask.
