Vere city park is located in the historical district of Tbilisi and shares its name with the area. According to legend, it was in this park that the artist Niko Pirosmani met the touring actress Margarita, and his unrequited love for her formed the basis for the famous song “A Million Scarlet Roses.”

Our walk begins directly across the road from the park, at the foot of the bronze sculpture “Muse”, installed in 1971 in front of the Tbilisi Concert Hall. From there we will go down into the underground passage, which will lead us to the park.

Inside the park we will meet various attractions, including a monument to the historian, archaeologist and public figure Ekvtime Takaisvili, as well as the chess palace of Nona Gaprindashvili. Nona Gaprindashvili, a Georgian chess player, was the fifth women's world chess champion (1962-1978) and an international grandmaster in both the men's and women's categories.

As we continue our walk through the park, we discover that its secluded location and the serene atmosphere of autumn make it an ideal place for a leisurely walk.
