NOTE FROM THE EDITOR: Dayton Miller picked up a more pronounced effect of these interferometry measurements at higher altitude. In this clip, Bob implies that his measurements were greater at lower elevation. It seems that Bob stated this backwards in the clip. He's on record saying it increased with altitude multiple times, but I didn't want to do too much editorializing to Bob's words. Either way, any variance of the stated magnitude definitively shows that what was measured was not Earth rotation, as was implied by the film.

Also, Airy's Success was performed before Michelson-Gale Pearson, but the implication of the experiment is the same.
