Her family showed their true colors - Lawn Transformation

I recently had the opportunity to transform the overgrown lawn of a widowed mother in need. Her family had abandoned her and her home, leaving it abandoned and neglected for nearly a year. The lawn had not been cared for in that time, and homeless individuals had even broken into the house and used it as a makeshift shelter.

This woman had been an elementary school teacher in Chattanooga, TN for 25 years before moving to Murfreesboro about a decade ago. Tragically, she recently lost her husband and has been struggling with Alzheimer's disease, now residing in an assisted living facility. Despite her difficult circumstances, her family has refused to offer her any support, allegedly due to the fact that she is white and married a black man.

Motivated by the desire to help restore this woman's home to its former glory and support her in her time of need, I was grateful to be able to provide a free lawn transformation. It was a small way to make a difference in her life and bring some joy to a person who has faced so much hardship and discrimination.
