2) Please be advised that your hotel should confirm your booking before your status on Thailand Pass can be verified by the Department of Disease Control.
3) With the recent spike in the number of covid cases, it may be a good time to review the current guidelines for COVID-19 High Risk Contact provided by the Department of Disease Control.
- High Risk Contact or HRC refers to those exposed to infected person without wearing masks or personal protective equipment (PPE) and has one of the following conditions:
(1) A close contact with an infected person (probable or confirmed case) on the day of that person displaying symptoms or within 3 days before that person display symptoms.
(2) Stayed close to or talked to infected person within 2 meters for more than 5 minutes, or were coughed or sneezed on.
(3) Stayed in unventilated area with infected person for more than 30 minutes. So, any one of the 3 scenarios without wearing masks, you would be a High Risk Contact.
Please note also that probable case means a positive ATK result, and confirmed case means positive RT-PCR result. Once you are a High Risk Contact, the Guidelines tells you to proceed to home quarantine for 7 days.
4) During quarantine, you should wear masks at all times if you are unable to be completely isolated; check your symptoms every day and take the first ATK test on the first day the symptoms begin or on Day 5-6 after your last contact with infected person.
5) If ATK result is positive, please call NHSO for Home Isolation arrangement.
6) After 7 days of home quarantine, the Guidelines provides that you'd be self-monitoring for 3 days: this means that you may go back to work, if necessary, but you should follow universal prevention, and try to avoid crowded public areas (market, department stores) and public transportation.
7) After the second ATK test on Day 10, with the negative result, you may resume normal activity while still practicing Universal Prevention.
8) The European Union (EU) has endorsed “Thailand Digital Health Pass” on the “Mor Prom” application. The pass - which shows the record of vaccinations, RT-PCR and ATK-screening results, as well as records of the holder’s infections and recovery from the virus - is equivalent to EU Digital COVID Certificate (EU DCC).
9) Thailand Digital Health Pass can be used to enter EU’s countries, and other 33 countries and territories which have links with our system, and to participate in activities or use services at venues in those countries and territories.
10) CCSA maintains that alcoholic beverage may be served until 11 pm.
11) For your own safety, please continue to observe Universal Prevention as well as make sure to use only restaurants with SHA Plus or Thai Stop COVID 2-Plus standards.
12) Do be mindful that the restaurant or any service you use follows COVID Free Setting measures.
