The US Constitution and the Bill of Rights unequivocally supports freedom and religion and freedom of speech. Ellen G. White, co-founder of the Seventh-day Adventist Movement, writes elegantly and lucidly on the topic of freedom of religion and freedom of expression in her book, "The Great Controversy," in the chapter, "Liberty of Conscience Established."
