Info from Licensor: "This is an old world species of tarantula that is native to a small town in India. It is a critically endangered species in the wild due to loss of habitat. The venom of a Poecilotheria metallica, also known as the Gooty Sapphire Ornamental, is medically significant. She was being extremely calm, so I decided it was a good opportunity to handle her to show her colors and size."
