Dr. Harvey Risch, Professor Emeritus of Epidemiology at the Yale School of Public Health, says China’s recent rise in respiratory illnesses should not give Americans cause for concern. “Maybe we forgot that we normally have this because we are all psychologically paralyzed by COVID for the last three years, but it is what normally happens in the fall and winter months,” says Dr. Risch.
