OPPOSITION BOYCOTT: SPEAKER AMONG DIRECTS GOVERNMENT TO RESPOND IMMEDIATELY
The speaker of parliament Annet Anita Among has directed the executive to present a report on the 18 missing persons as demanded by the opposition wing.
The speaker’s directives confirm a twist of events following her recent remarks on the opposition boycott of plenary.
Speaker Anita Among wants the report latest tomorrow Wednesday as the opposition wing continues to escape plenary sessions until their demands are addressed.
Mathias Mpuuga the leader of Opposition had earlier addressed the Media informing the members of the opposition not to adhere to the speaker’s directives of being excluded from the committee proceedings of Parliament.
It was a different tone describing the twist of events as the Speaker of Parliament Annet Anita Among who of recent has been upset by the Opposition habit of dodging plenary in protest of demanding government to give accountability of the alleged human rights abuse affecting opposition supporters in Uganda.
