KHSD hosts Parent Involvement Day

The Kern County High School District is joining in on National Parent Involvement Day, today Thursday November 16, 2017. The district is doing so in order to engage parents in their student's education and activities in order to optimize student success.  To celebrate Parent Involvement Day 2017, the district will offer several activities for parents planned at different schools. The events at the schools are listed below:  Mira Monte High School:  -Sprinkling parents with kindness & coffee and donuts -1800 S. Fairfax Road 7:45 a.m. North High School: -Bingo, free dinner, games and fun -300 Galaxy Ave., 5:30 p.m. Highland High School: -"Screenagers" movie screening -Wesley R. Anderson Hall, 2900 Royal Scots Way, 6:00 p.m.  South High School: -Games, food, parent university tours  -Parent Center, 1101 Planz Road, 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.
