M. Reese Everson told Laura Ingraham that a member of congress asked if he could flirt with her "in order [for her] to excel in [her] career."

She said that, at the time, she did not see the encounter as harassment, but as an "inappropriate experience."

"OK. I've got to get out of here," Everson recounted telling herself at the time.

She said she tried to move to another Congressional office position, but was "retaliated against, wrongfully terminated and blackballed."

Everson said that some on Capitol Hill are forced to work in such "pervasive, incestuous silence... that keeps women from speaking up."
