Born on October 18, 1982, in New York, Dalia Mohammed was just an ordinary girl. She would later become Dalia Dippolito — the central figure of a plot darker than any work of fiction.

Dippolito married her husband Michael, a businessman with a murky past, in February 2009. But just six months into their marriage, Dalia was already seeking a permanent way out. However, she wasn't looking for a divorce. No, she had something far more sinister in mind.

When she first sought to execute her dark plan, Dippolito tried to poison Michael with antifreeze, adding it to his tea. But when her husband survived, she resorted to hiring a hitman. Dalia met with an undercover cop, who was posing as a hitman, in August 2009. Oblivious to the officer's true identity, she laid out her plan. Her husband's murder. Cold. Calculated. Unnerving.
