He notes that 1) Article V does not lay out the process for a convention, 2) if America wants to rein in Congress, a Convention organized by Congress won’t fix the problem, 3) the purpose of Article V is to correct errors or defects in the Constitution, 4) we don’t yet know who the delegates would be, 5) an Article V Convention will not be controlled by constitutionalist conservatives, and 6) special interests would dominate the convention.
