Four killed in apparent murder-suicide at North Carolina homeless encampment

In a tragic incident on Sunday morning, two men and two women lost their lives in a murder-suicide at a homeless encampment in North Carolina, as confirmed by officials.

According to the Sampson County Sheriff’s Office, residents at the Autryville homeless encampment reported hearing a verbal altercation.

The suspect, Dwane Paul Miller, 40, subsequently shot three victims multiple times before taking his own life.

The authorities were alerted to the scene just before 9:30 a.m.

All four individuals involved had been residing in two tents within the homeless encampment for several weeks, NBC News reported.
