BPD releases new information in the Kason Guyton murder investigation

Bakersfield Police Chief Lyle Martin confirmed to 23ABC News there is an update in the Kason Guyton homicide investigation.  Chief Martin said detectives have identified the suspect vehicle in the case. "They didn't tell me the exact details of what they have and once they run down some of those investigative leads they will then release those things to the public if in fact we can't locate the vehicle but they were very optimistic this morning," he said.Officials said they initially had several different descriptions of possible suspect vehicles in the beginning of the investigation and have been working to narrow down the suspect vehicle. Kason Guyton, 5, was shot and killed in February of 2017.
