Frozen 3 is officially underway, and the work done so far has left one of the original Frozen creators "blown away".

Jennifer Lee – who wrote and co-directed the first two movies – revealed in October 2023 that the creative team is already delivering astounding work for the threequel. "I'm so excited. I don't know what I'm doing on it yet. I might be doing nothing," she said.

Lee confirmed in June 2023 that she will not direct the third movie, which marks a big change behind-the-scenes for the saga.

"Where we're going with Frozen did not come from me," she explained. "It came from an incredible person... And I've been blown away by it and I'm just having a blast with that team."

It's possible that Lee will still end up writing Frozen 3 and either way, she will be involved in the development of the movie as she's the Chief Creative Officer of Walt Disney Animation Studios.
