Dr. Mario was a classic puzzle strategy game released July 27th 1990 for the NES. It is similar to Tetris. The goal is to eliminate all the viruses on the screen. You are presented with a new random capsule every time. You have to align four of the same color either horizontally or vertically to eliminate that row. It doesn't matter how much of the four are capsules and how much are viruses.

The game can be played in with either 1 player or 2 players. The next screen asks your VIRUS LEVEL, which is just the level, and defaults to 1, but you can select anywhere from 1 to 20. The options for speed are LOW, MED (medium), and HI (high). You have music options of FEVER, CHILL, and OFF.

For my game, I played one 1 player, starting at level 1 with speed LOW and music type FEVER.

The game was easy enough for me to remember the rules, but I did not remember how long it took. I got to level 19 before losing. I started losing my focus. My mom loved this game and was very good at it. She was the master in the family.
