#799 // IS YOUR BOAT READY - LIVE
As we gather for tonight's show, we stand at the threshold of a profound journey, reminiscent of Noah's historic voyage in the Ark. Our world swirls with uncertainty and trials, yet we are called to navigate our families and friends through these tumultuous times and turbulent waters with faith and resilience, much like Noah did in the face of the Great Flood.
Our theme tonight is "Is Your Boat Ready". This powerful metaphor, drawn from the heart of Genesis 6, resonates deeply with our current global landscape. Just as Noah was warned of the impending deluge and prepared the Ark for salvation, we too are called to spiritually and morally prepare ourselves for the challenges that lie ahead. Noah was ridiculed for his beliefs - indeed, the world had never known rain before when Noah began preparing his Ark, so it's little wonder that his countrymen couldn't comprehend the vast changes in landscape and countryside which would come from a seeming never ending flood of rain. And the rain that is coming - is God's Truth - and a revelation of all that has been done in darkness, just as we have detailed in our many shows. Also, in Hebrews 11:7, we are reminded of Noah's faith and reverence towards God, which led him to heed the divine warning and act to save his household. This means that our faith in God is not something we can purchase at a store or casually pick up in a book, but, is a well-worn friendship between each of us and our Creator - and this means constant repentance and prayer - even on an hourly basis, as conditions warrant. Our acts of obedience and trust stand as a beacon of hope for we and our families. God's Goodness and Light shall protect us when others who live in darkness despair and lose hope.
Furthermore, Matthew 24:37-39 reminds us that Jesus draws a parallel between the days of Noah and the times of Jesus' Second Coming. Matthew underscores the importance of being vigilant and ready, for just as in the days before the flood, people were unaware until the flood came and swept them all away. This means closing our open doors - the very windows of our soul - to the iniquity all around us. We must shut out and shun all the works of the devil and praise God for His Protections.
Tonight, we embark on a scriptural voyage to find His guidance and His strength. We must metaphorically build our own 'arks,' and reflect on what it means to be righteous and steadfast in our faith, yet retain compassionate hearts of forgiveness and peace. Our voyage into the unknown is much like Noah's. However, with faith as our compass and God's word as our map, we are never truly lost or alone.
