Canada: RCMP say one person was taken into custody after a tractor

Canada: RCMP say one person was taken into custody after a tractor struck a police car and rolled over in Surrey, B.C. on Saturday.

RCMP say members of the B.C. Highway Patrol were dealing with a service call at around 12:35 p.m. when they came across a tractor on Highway 1 that was "possibly involved in a protest."

"They attempted to stop the tractor which resulted in an initial collision when the tractor struck a police vehicle," said RCMP Staff Sgt. Duane Honeyman in a statement. 

"The incident ended when the tractor rolled over as it tried to take the on ramp to Highway 1 westbound."
