WELCOME to my 25th flight in 2017. On 9th December, I flew Qantas economy (again) from to Melbourne (MEL) Hong Kong (HKG). The operating aircraft was a refurbished Airbus A330-300. The flight was generally fine and the seat was very comfortable. Qantas new economy is worth a go!

Qantas, Cathay Pacific and Virgin Australia are the only airlines flying between Melbourne and Hong Kong. Cathay Pacific flies three times a day with a mixture of B777-300ER, A330-300 and A350-900. Qantas flies daily with its A330-300 and Virgin flies daily with its A330-200. Qantas occasionally use B747 on this route.
