Syma X5C Quadcopter Unboxed

Just got a new package in the mail! Opened it up to find a Syma X5C Quadcopter. It’s a pretty fun little quadcopter and a great way to get started flying quadcopters. I already fly a DJI quadcopter and am familiar with how they operate, but I wanted something I could fly and try tricky maneuvers without the fear of breaking something expensive.

The quadcopter itself feels like a toy. It is made of thin plastic and really lightweight. Run time is about 6 minutes and the battery takes about 1.5 hours to charge. Unlike the DJI models, there is no GPS and it requires you to ride the controls the entire time to adjust the height. I’m excited about the ability to do flips with it. Run videos to come.
