[FLIGHT REVIEW including the lounges]
On 13th October, I flew SriLankan Airlines UL890 service from Bangkok (BKK) to Hong Kong (HKG). The new business class is better than the older ones with lie-flat seats in a 2-2-2 arrangement found on A330-200. A330-300 are equipped with fully-flat seats in a 1-2-1 arrangement. SriLankan Airlines’ new business class is fascinating, pretty similar to the ones on Cathay Pacific and American Airlines. I had a great flight with them. The service was outstanding and the crew were very caring and friendly. HKG-BKK is one of the busiest international routes in the world. There are more than 30 flights flying between HKG and BKK each day. Cathay Pacific, Hong Kong Airlines, Thai Airways, SriLankan Airlines, Emirates, Kenya Airlines and Royal Jordanian Airlines are some of the airlines that fly between the cities. HKG-BKK is one of the few routes that all three alliances (Oneworld, Star Alliance, Skyteam) operate.
