2WD ECX Ruckus RC Monster Truck - My Dad's First Run

We needed something tough and easy to learn on, so I picked out a 2WD Brushed ECX Ruckus for him at Debbie's RC World. We also got him a 5000Mah 2S LiPo battery to power it instead of the 1800Mah NiMh battery that comes with it. He kept it slow to get the hang of it, but was doing pretty well. It's not easy to get the controls of these right away - especially when it's coming straight at you. Merry Christmas dad and welcome to the hobby!

On a technical note: I will say that this truck was slower than I expected with the stock 15T brushed motor on a 2s LiPo battery. It's weird because it doesn't make up for it in acceleration/torque you'd see from typical gearing that would have slow top speed. The less expensive ECX Amp on at 20T motor seemed faster. I'll have to look into it. Also, going in reverse without touching the steering made the wheels swing from side to side and the truck was all over the place - really weird.
