WELCOME to my fourth flight review in 2017. On 29th January, I flew Qantas QF80 service from Tokyo Narita (NRT) to Melbourne (MEL). The operating aircraft was an Airbus A330-300. As I am a Oneworld Sapphire member, I have access to priority check-in, priority boarding and access to the lounges in NRT.

My comment to the flight: I received a warm welcome from the flight attendant, and as soon as I reached my seat, I found myself a pillow, a blanket and a headset. The flight was (nearly) 100% full. The legroom is great and the recline angle is big as well. The screen was quite responsive and there were a lot movie selections. There were three dinner options, I had the pork meatballs with egg flakes rice, it was very delicious! Unfortunately, the full breakfast had been downgraded to a pastry and fruits only… Overall, I had a good flight. I would recommend Qantas A330-300 economy class to everyone. I would like to try their business class in A330 and B787 soon.

QF80 is a relatively new service. QF stopped its MEL-NRT service in 2008, and relaunched it in December 2016. QF’s sibling Jetstar axed their MEL-NRT soon after QF relaunched it. QF is the only airline that flies between the cities.
