Back in December, Jacob Smallwood reached out to me on Facebook Messenger to see if I had seen his post in SAMM about a chassis he had designed–I had not. He was smart and included some photos of it that immediately piqued my interest and made me head over to check out the post...which has also linked to make it easy.

Here's what it said (along with some great photos of his prototype)

BMRC Racehorse Chassis **Preorder**
Built to replace the stock SMT10 plastic chassis, almost complete replacement with minor modifications. Can also be pieced together with like parts (ar60’s, axial transmission, etc).

Limited initial run should be ready to ship in 10-15 days.

Kit Includes:
(2) 6061 Aluminum Chassis Side Plates
(1) Electronics Tray
(1)Motor/Transmission Mount
(10) ¼” OD Aluminum Crossmembers
(8) 6mm Spacers (For shocks and SMT10 style bottom links)
(1) Screw Kit

That same night I sent in my pre-order money to get one. It arrived less then a month later. While I waited, I had to order parts to build it as I realized that I didn't have enough spare parts to make it from. Overall the build went very smooth–except for those stupid axle hexes. That's another story and not a reflection on this chassis. Overall, I really like it and this video has been a long-time coming.
