Su-30SM and Su-24M aircraft of the naval aviation of the Black Sea Fleet perform tasks to ensure the safety of the maritime area off the coast of Crimea

The crews of Su-30SM and Su-24M aircraft of the Naval Aviation and Air Defence of the Black Sea Fleet patrol the sea area off the Crimean Peninsula during combat training tasks. Their task is to detect and destroy unmanned boats and high-speed landing boats of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The detected high-speed surface targets are destroyed by fighters and front-line bombers from the duty forces from aircraft guns or using aircraft bombs. Also, Su-30SM multifunctional fighters effectively work against unmanned aerial vehicles with which the enemy is trying to attack the infrastructure of the peninsula. Black Sea pilots have already shot down several dozen Ukrainian UAVs over the Black Sea.
