Insane Fun! The ARRMA Infraction Drifting A 1/5th Scale Oval Track

I said I was going to do it. You saw it here first. The ARRMA Infraction ripping around a 1/5th scale dirt oval track. It was insanely fun drifting the corners and watching the truck shoot out of the drift and down the straight. I smile just thinking about it.

Here's the details. I stopped by Buddy Cheeks' Carolina RC Park so we could see how the Infraction handled. He and I both thought it would make a great oval racer. I think we are onto something. This isn't typical offroad, this is a smooth dirt track and the Infraction ate it up and loved it. Granted, the stock DBOOTS HOONS might not be the best tire option, but it did well with AVC on and hooked up ok. AVC off was another story...which is a testament to the technology that drives AVC. Just getting started was tough as it slipped around with AVC Off. It'll be interesting to see how it does with dirt treads and if that helps reduce the need for AVC.

Overall it was an awesome experience. With AVC set around 30% it really seemed to hook up but allow it to really drift the corners.

Full disclosure: I didn't notice it until we were done filming, but I did lose two screws in the air splitter and it looks a little deformed from hitting the wall. I should have removed it, but didn't have any tools with me. Hopefully the bend will disappear when two screws are added to the splitter.
