One of the writers for The Marvels, a movie that is set to loose hundreds of millions for Disney and Marvel, was hired on by Amazon to write their announced Tomb Raider series.

Writer Megan McDonnell will be joined by Fleabag creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge who the company already announced will be writing and producing the upcoming series. The Lara Croft Tomb Raider series is the latest in video game adaptations for the small screen following the success of HBO’s The Last of Us. However, it should be noted studios are becoming more reliant on writers with very little experience in a time where the WGA negotiated to allow writers to use artificial intelligence or AI to write for them.
