IS FACEBOOK PARTICIPATING IN IDENTITY THEFT?

Ever since the Meta verified program came out, there are now hundreds upon hundreds of FAKE ACCOUNTS being set up using social media influencers names. Even with government ID verification, Facebook is allowing scammers to take over influencers accounts. Are they now involved in identity theft?
