Some fairly major developments in some of the cases we've been covering and a pretty big decision out of the U.S. Supreme Court that could have broader implications on artists and creators, so tonight we're going to get caught up!

🚨 On the docket 📢 -

➜ Andy Warhol's estate suffered a final lost in its copyright dispute with Lynn Goldsmith over Warhol's use of Goldsmith's photos in a silkscreen of Prince. Justice Sotomayor authored the 7-2 opinion of the Court, which could have broader implications for artists and content creators going forward.

➜ Alex Murdaugh filed a Motion this week, asking the Court to vacate ("set aside") the $4.3 million confessed judgment in favor of Gloria Satterfield's estate stemming from the injuries she sustained at the Mosel property, which ultimately resulted in her passing weeks afterwards. This motion comes just one week after the Court denied Murdaugh's motion to use funds from his 401(k) to pay for his criminal appeal.

➜ The FTX bankruptcy estate has brought a new "claw back" action, seeking to recover $240 million from Sam Bankman-Fried, Nishad Singh, Gary Wang, and former Embed Financial Technologies Inc. equity holders related to FTX's acquisition of Embed (when it had intended to add stock trading to it's platform).
