The recent AfricaCom 2023 summit held in Cape Town, South Africa, served as a resounding call to action for African governments to prioritise connectivity, digital literacy, and affordable internet access if the continent is to realise its full potential in the digital age.
And as Samuel Ssenono reports, the absence of a robust Optical National Infrastructure interconnection in Africa is casting a shadow on the business community, hindering growth, and limiting opportunities.
