Man Accused of Hit-and- Run, Killing Teen

A man is accused of hitting a teen and fleeing from the scene. It happened on Saturday at the intersection of Lakewood Blvd and Estey Ave in Naples. The caller who witnessed the crash provided the driver's tag number to deputies. 32-year-old Pedro Silvadiaz was later identified as the hit-and-run suspect. When deputies spoke to him he explained that he felt a big thump on the front side of his vehicle but thought a nail went into his tire. So he decided not to stop, the Collier County Sheriff's Office said.
