The game has the largest number of fighters in series history with more than 130 playable characters, this game has more beloved characters to play than any Ultimate Ninja STORM game in the past. Some new additions include the brothers who started legendary ninja clans, Ashura and Indra Otsutsuki, and the Kara members Delta, Boro, Koji Kashin, and Jigen. The game includes a History Mode where you can experience the story of Naruto and Naruto Shippuden all in one game. This means that you can relive the epic battles and emotional moments from the Chunin Exams to the Fourth Great Ninja War. Also comes with an original story designed exclusively for the game, centering on Boruto along with two new original characters.

The story takes place during the events of BORUTO, when the Ninja World is at peace again with Naruto as Hokage. Boruto discovers a popular online game, “Ninja Heroes,” and meets Nanashi, a navigator from the game. Meanwhile, something unusual in the real world causes the threat of the Fifth Great Ninja War. While the ninja world is was plunged into chaos, Boruto realizes a mysterious man, Merz, may be behind it all.
