Media shills are doing their best to run cover for the failure of Nia Dacosta as the director for The Marvels. The film will go down as one of the biggest box office disaster in cinematic history, spending over $270M on production alone, but not making anywhere near enough to break even in the box office. But instead of holding Nia to the same standards as other film directors who directed flops, the media is trying to find the silver lining, stating that Nia now holds the biggest opening weekend ever for a "Black woman director."

This is called the "soft bigotry of low expectations", shills. Hold Nia to the same standards as everyone else.
