LEARN TO RE-HOLSTER YOUR GUN SAFELY

BEGINNING SHOOTERS:
In this video we’ll help you learn how to safely re-holster your loaded hammer-fired gun.
This type of gun has a very light trigger pull when the hammer is cocked and the safety is off.
The reason for making it safe before holstering is to prevent an unintended discharge.

DS-11: Learn to re-holster your gun safely

—If you shoot a hammer-fired gun, you must always do one of two things before re-holstering when it is loaded.
—You must either move the external safety to the “safe” position, or operate the de-cocking lever to lower the hammer.
—You need to do this every time you holster your gun.
—Here’s the reason WHY you need to do this.
—After shooting a hammer-fired gun, the hammer is cocked, the safety is off, and it has a very light trigger pull.
