No new pathogen as China respiratory illnesses spike - WHO

As a surge of respiratory illness hit schools and hospitals in China, the World Health Organization, which has asked the government for disease data, said on Friday (November 24) no unusual or novel pathogens had been detected. The WHO's spokesperson Christian Lindmeier said the organization was not recommending any specific measures for travellers to the region.
