Neel Kashkari, President of the Minneapolis Federal Reserve, on why anyone would want to introduce a CBDC:
If you want to monitor every transaction.
If you want to impose negative interest rates.
If you want to directly tax customer accounts.

There are also the options to place expiry dates on money to restrict savings, and place conditions on spending such as restricting certain purchases. CBDCs are not really currency, but digital coupons.

The solution is to refuse to allow a 100% digital system. Retain the use of cash. Invest in other currencies, such as decentralised bitcoin and precious metals. Find out what your bank is planning with regards to entering the realm of a CBDC and let them know what you think of their plans.
