Yaesu released new firmware for the FTM-500 on 11/22/2023.

This video talks about #4 from the below Improvement list.

Implements improvements:
FTM-500D Main_ V0111.SFL (11/22/23)
FTM-500D_SUB_V0111.SFL (11/22/23)
C4FM-DSP_V0720.SFL
1. Added support for ADMS-16.
2. Improvement allowing independent operation of the MAIN/SUB VOL control when AESS
(audio equalizer) is ON.
3. Added a JPG Import function including the ability to import any image of QVGA size or
smaller, that is saved on an SD card, to the FTM-500D for image viewing and
image data transmission.
4. Improvement providing the ability to read and write multiple backup files, (Up to 10
backup files can be saved/loaded using an SD card).
5. Improvement permitting operation of the WiRES-X function without distinguishing between
bands.
6. Improvement providing the ability to call the WiRES-X function from the current channel
During PMG mode.
7. Improvement permitting the current channel information registered in PMG to be transferred
to the VFO by holding down the BAND/M→V key.
8. The following operations/functions have been added to the APRS functions:
・Added the Heading UP Compass Beacon details display.
・Added the ability to call up the Station List screen with a long press of the SUB Dial, when
the APRS function is ON.
・Permit activating the QSY function with a short press of the MAIN Dial, while displaying
a Beacon with QSY information.
9. Other functional improvements and optimizations have been made.
