חברי כיתת הכוננות של בארי מספרים בראיון לערוץ 12 על הגדוד הענק שמנה כ-500 חיילים שעמד מחוץ לגדר של היישוב בו בזמן שהמחבלים עושים רוצחים ושוחטים את התושבים בתוך היישוב. אחד מהם אף מספר שהוא הצליח להשיג שיחה עם ראש הממשלה בעצמו וסיפר לו מה שמתחולל באותם רגעים בקיבוץ. כתגובה ראש הממשלה אמר לו "שהנושא בטיפול..."
