An Garda Síochána, in a press conference, confirmed that five individuals, including three young children, an adult female, and an adult male, were hospitalized due to the attack. A 5-year-old girl sustained severe injuries and is undergoing emergency treatment at CHI Temple Street, while a 5-year-old boy and a 6-year-old girl with less serious injuries were taken to CHI Crumlin. The adults, a woman in her 30s and a man in his 50s, are being treated for serious injuries at separate hospitals in the Dublin Region.

Gardaí emphasized that, at this stage, there is no suspicion of a terrorist motive behind the attack. However, they have confirmed an ongoing investigation and have established an incident room at Mountjoy Garda Station.
