Thanksgiving Day is a uniquely American holiday but the history books do not give us the truth. The 1st Thanksgiving was in 1565 by Catholics in St. Augustine, Florida and they did not begin with the great feast you might think, but the Greatest and Grandest Feast that is still being offered today and every day: the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Every properly catechized Catholic firmly believes and knows that what we should be thankful for most is our Faith and the Holy Sacraments. This Thanksgiving Day, Fr. Stanislaus expounds on the "Confession of St. Peter" from today's Holy Gospel and the instructions of St. Paul from his Epistle to the Philippians.
Please always remember our mission and if you are able we are in need and lack many things.
