Thanksgiving Feast Costs: Second-Most Expensive in History
The American Farm Bureau Federation has released its findings, revealing that the average cost of a traditional Thanksgiving meal for a family of 10 stands at $61.17. This places it as the second-most expensive in the history of their survey. However, there is a glimmer of good news as this year's cost is slightly lower compared to the record-high prices seen last year. The estimated average cost per person for this classic feast is $6.20. While this does represent a 4.5 percent decrease from the previous year, it is important to note that it remains 25 percent higher than the pre-pandemic levels of 2019. To provide insights and alternatives, Newsmax interviewed Will Ruger, President of the American Institute for Economic Research. Ruger shared valuable tips to navigate these costs and find alternatives for a memorable Thanksgiving celebration.
